Ancient Origins - Crafted Today

Like the original fragrances dating back to 4,500 BC in Egypt, formulator Nichols Baughman custom crafts natural fragrances that use whole botanicals - resins, plants, flowers and woods. Nichols produces them following time-honored ancient perfumery techniques that extract and mix essential oils, yet are beautifully in vogue with today's offerings.

Artfully Composed

Each fragrance is artfully composed in layers: the top note draws you in, the middle note envelops you, and the base note grounds the entire scent. Unlike modern synthetic perfumes, natural fragrances are more subtle and intimate - you must be closer to the skin to fully experience their uplifting essence.

Is HF Beauty a natural, custom formulator?

Yes. HF Beauty artfully hand crafts its fragrances and beauty products to ensure the highest, healthiest quality. Unlike the cosmetic giants who follow market demand and mass manufacture their beauty products using chemicals, we carefully source the best natural and organic ingredients to create your unique aromatic story or brand. When possible, we work with local farmers who use sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming practices.

Are the ingredients safe?

Yes! All ingredients are tested safe for topical use and do not harm the planet. Every ingredient is determined to be free of endocrine (hormone) disruptors, carcinogens, parabens and petroleum, phthalates, GMOs, and animal products. Please read the ingredients on the product label to make sure that you are not allergic to them. If you have any concerns, consult with a medical professional before making any purchase.

How do I make the scent last longer?

Natural fragrances can vary from person to person, and different skin types and body temperatures can affect longevity. If you wish to make the scent last longer:

- Shake the bottle gently before applying.

- Apply away from the face, on lower arms, the back of the neck, and hair, so you do not adjust to and stop noticing the smell of the fragrance too quickly.

- Hold the sprayer close to your skin because a concentrated application of the fragrance ensures that a higher proportion of the spray is actually applied to the skin, and not lost to the air.

- Layer the fragrance over moisturizer. Apply moisturizer or roll-on fragrances first, then spray on top. This helps slow the rate of evaporation and acts as a natural fixative to achieve a longer aroma.

- Apply to cooler areas of the skin, such as the top of the wrists instead of the hotter underside, in order to reduce the rate of evaporation.

- Apply to clothing which has a lower temperature than the skin, thereby enabling the scent to evaporate more slowly. However, because there is less heat and slower evaporation, the strength of the scent is reduced.
